Summoner’s Legion Championships – Final Day

The Championships drew a lot of attention over the past few days, and we are look forward to hosting similar events in the near future. Before we get into the match details, we would like to thank each of you for taking part in our first Summoner’s Legion Championships!

The back and forth between Bowser and Jason in the consolation round was very exciting to watch. Despite being deployed 3 times, Jason’s Warrior wasn’t able to overcome Bowser’s Priest, Mage, or Ranger. Although Jason’s early Mage vs. Mage took the victory it just didn’t give him the momentum he needed. Both Jason and Bowser got their Mages out early, and Bowser followed up with Priest and Ranger victories to lock in his final 3rd place standing.

Kartenauge and Confrari’s best 4 of 7 matchup was highly anticipated. Would Confrari’s heavy tempo be able to overcome Kartenauge’s tactical thinking? As it turns out, the answer was yes. For the first four games, Confrari and Kartenauge traded victories -- Confrari with Mage, Kartenauge with a Priest, Confrari with his own Priest, and Kartenauge with his legendary Warrior. Kartenauge surprised all of us when he chose a risky Ranger play in what proved to be the final match against Confrari’s Dwarf-heavy Warrior deck. Kartenauge proved gracious in defeat as he took home the 2nd place prize, and Confrari proved equally gracious as he extended an invitation to the top 4 to include them in on the mystery prize: a unique opportunity to design his own legendary card with the Summoner’s Legion developer team!

We would like to congratulate all our finalists, with special congratulations to the Summoner’s Legion Championships winner, Confrari! As the last competitor standing, Confrari has won the 2,000 USD grand prize and mystery prize while Kartenauge takes home the runner’s up 1,000 USD cash prize. Our 3rd place prize went out to Bowser as the victor of the consolation rounds.
